Food products in OneLabel are rated based on multiple factors:
1. The nutrition value: We use the Nutri-Score method to calculate nutrition ratings, which takes into account factors such as calories, sugar, salt, saturated fats, protein, fiber, fruits, and vegetables. OneLabel has enhanced this method to provide more accurate ratings, avoiding threshold effects in the original Nutri-Score, which can cause score discrepancies between similar products.
2. The additives: The additives are evaluated based on the latest scientific research, including recommendations from EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and IARC (International Agency for Research on Cancer). Each additive is assigned a risk level based on multiple studies to assess potential health risks.
3. The organic nature of the product: Products that carry an official national or international organic label receive a bonus rating. These products are free from chemical pesticides, which can pose health risks.
Cosmetic products in OneLabel are evaluated based on the following criteria:
1. General Evaluation: Cosmetic products are rated based on their ingredients. Each ingredient is closely studied by our medical team and thoroughly evaluated for its potential impact on health.
2. Ingredients: Every ingredient is assigned a risk level based on current scientific understanding and its potential health effects.
3. Product Score: The risks associated with each ingredient are clearly displayed in the product sheet, along with the scientific sources supporting these findings. Based on this, each cosmetic product is given a score from 0 to 100, with 100 being the safest level.
